From April 30, to May 4, 2018, Friar Jarosław Wysoczański, OFM Conv., the Secretary General for Missionary Animation (SGAM) and Friar Joseph Blay OFM Conv., the General Delegate for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), attended a SEDOS (Service of Documentation and Study) residential seminar on the theme “Youth and Mission.” The seminar took place at the Casa Divin Maestro in Ariccia-Rome.

SEDOS is a forum open to Institutes of Consecrated Life desiring to learn more about missionary formation. The purpose of this seminar was to study, reflect, pray and talk about today’s youth, with a view toward the upcoming Synod of Bishops on Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment to be held in October of 2018.
Various experts gave lectures on contemporary youth culture, faith, vocational discernment, etc. The speakers included: Professor Emilia PALLADINO of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Sister Bruna ZALTRON (Ursuline), Friar Paul RAJ (Monfortani), Friar Paul BEDNARCZYK (Rogationist), and some special testimony from His Eminence, Lorenzo Cardinal Baldisseri.
130 men and women religious representing different locations, languages and cultures around the world, took part in the seminar, creating an atmosphere of communion and participation.
