On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Brazil celebrated the start of another year of formation for its postulancy program.
The event was characterized by a Mass in the chapel at the São Boaventura Friary and Formation House in Petrópolis, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Provincial Custos, Friar Ronaldo GOMES DA SILVA, presided. Those concelebrating included the Guardian and Rector of the postulants, Friar Luiz Henrique Nascimento LIMA; two members of the stable community, namely, the Vocation Animator for the Custody, Friar Willian Gomes MENDONÇA, and Friar Luiz GONZAGA DA SILVA; along with all of the Custodial Definitors. This year, the Custody has nine postulants in formation.
The next day, February 9, 2022, again at the same friary, the Custos and the Vocation Animator for the Custody met with the Vocation Animation team for the entire Custody. During their meeting, the participants planned for the year and welcomed two new members to the team, Friars Ricardo Elvis ARRUDA BEZERRA and Jesús RODRIGUES DO AMARAL.
