On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Friar Nicola COPPOLETTA was appointed a judge of the new Interdiocesan Court of Appeals of the Calabrian Ecclesiastical Region (Italy).

The appointment was signed by the Moderator and President of the CEC (Calabrian Episcopal Conference), the Most Reverend Vincenzo BERTOLONE, Metropolitan Archbishop of Catanzaro – Squillace, Italy. In fact, on March 5, 2021, the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura granted the ecclesiastical region in question its own Court of Second Instance, based in Catanzaro, thereby ending further dependence on Naples. Friar Nicola is a member of the Provincial Custody of St. Daniel and Companion Martyrs in Italy (Calabria). He made his simple profession on September 17, 1967, his solemn profession on October 7, 1973, and was ordained to the priesthood on July 6, 1975.
