On May 27-29, 2024, the Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the Czech Republic conducted the first part of its Ordinary Provincial Chapter in Kostelní Vydří, in the Czech Republic.
Those attending included the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI; the Assistant General for the Federatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO), Friar Tomáš LESŇÁK; and all the friars of the Province. The Chapter began with a spiritual introduction led by a Minister Provincial of the Friars Minor, Friar Jakub SADÍLEK.
After the reports were read, the Capitulars divided into two working groups in order to draft an evaluation of the life and activities of the Province over the last four years. In the end, they approved the final document they created.
On the evening of Tuesday, May 28, Friar Piotr PAWLIK was confirmed as Minister Provincial. His Provincial Definitory is composed of Friars Petr MACHÁČEK (Vicar), Bonaventura Josef ROSA (Secretary), and Bohdan HECZKO and Tomasz TRAWIŃSKI (Definitors). Friar Stanisław STEC was elected Provincial Econom for a second term and Friar Tomasz TRAWIŃSKI was elected Provincial Exactor.
The second part of the Chapter will begin on June 17, 2024, in Krnov, in the Czech Republic
