On November 2-15, 2018, the Minister Provincial of The Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy), Friar Giovanni VOLTAN, visited the Delegation in Chile.

The Minister Provincial was accompanied by Friar Irinel DOBOŞ of the Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. in Romania. They visited the three communities of the Delegation: Curicó, Copiapó and Santiago de Chile.
On November 12-15, the friars of the Delegation gathered at the friary in Curicó to meet and spend some fraternal time together. During the meeting, they reflected on the letter the Minister Provincial sent to all the friars of the Province last September, on the occasion of the meeting of the guardians. Their reflection was focused on how to “re-form” and “re-design” the Conventual Franciscan presence in Chile, in view of the prophetic dimension embodied in this fragile yet hopeful reality.
The next day, they got to walk along the beach at Iloca, a town in the Maule region of Chile, where they enjoyed the beauty of the coast and their stay at the fraternity in particular. On the last day they made a visit to a small hermitage in Angostura, a town located between Curicó and Santiago. While there, they visited some land the Delegation owns in the area.
These days were characterized by simple and fraternal coexistence, a gift that was of great help in consolidating communion among the friars of the Delegation.
