On June 22-26, 2024, the friars of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia gathered for a spiritual retreat at the Francisco Palau Spirituality Center run by the Carmelite Missionary Sisters in La Estrella (Antioquia), Colombia.
This fraternal and spiritual event was led by Friar Juan de la Cruz CASTELLANOS, OFM. Drawing on his experience in Franciscan consecrated life, he illuminated the personal and communal meditation of the friars, offering some guidelines for evaluating and inspiring the practice of the Franciscan charism in the reality of our world today.
The friars thank God for letting them experience this retreat, which was conducted in an atmosphere of fraternity, togetherness, dialogue and joy. During the retreat, the friars were nourished by the Word of the Lord, which continues to guide and illuminate the path of consecrated Franciscans, amidst the various forms of living the charism in the Custody.
