On March 26-28, 2019, Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ, the Assistant General for the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF), together with Friar Igor SALMIČ, the Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph in Slovenia, visited the friars of the mission in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This was Friar Igor’s first visit to the three confreres living in Denmark. Two of them, Friars Tomislav CVETKO (Croatia) and Tomaž MAJCEN (Slovenia), have been in Denmark for more than two years. Then, almost three months ago, they were joined by Friar Stephen BEJO from the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines. Friars Tomislav and Tomaž have integrated well and are already working in two small parishes in the center of Copenhagen, while Friar Stephen is learning the Danish language.
The visit began with an official meeting with the Most Reverend Czesław KOZON, Bishop of Copenhagen and the Reverend Niels ENGELBRECHT, Diocesan Vicar and prelate. The Bishop expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Friars Minor Conventual in the Danish capital, also because it is the only Franciscan presence in Denmark.
On the second day, all the friars celebrated Mass together with the bishop in his chapel. The afternoon was dedicated to visiting the city of Roskilde. The friars were able to admire the monumental cathedral, then the former friary which once housed our confreres from the Province of Our Lady of Consolation in the USA (OLC).
