On February 15 and 16, 2026, the Minister General, Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI and the Vicar General, Friar Igor SALMIČ, met with the formation team of the Seraphicum College in Rome. The meeting took place at the Capuchin Franciscan friary in Frascati, Italy.

Five formators from the Seraphicum participated, namely, Friar Adam MACZYKA (Rector), Friar Joseph KACHELEWA (Vice-Rector), Friar Marcos Alejandro QUESADA NAVARRO (Vice-Rector), Friar Martin PALLIKKARA (Vice-Rector), and Friar Stephen OCHIENO OCHWADA (Spiritual Director).
The participants arrived on the afternoon of February 15, and shared dinner as their first fraternal moment together. The meeting concluded on February 16 after dinner. Both meeting days offered time for prayer, discussion, and dialogue, in an atmosphere of fraternity and mutual listening.
The presence of the Minister General and the Vicar General gave the participants a valuable opportunity to reflect together on current challenges in formation, to further study the Order’s guidelines, and strengthen communion between the General Government and the formators, who guide the student friars on their journey of human, spiritual, and intellectual growth.
This meeting provided an important opportunity to review and strengthen the formation program, reaffirming that it must be firmly rooted in the Franciscan charism and carried out with shared responsibility and fidelity to the mission of the Order.
The formation team expresses its sincere gratitude to Friars Carlos and Igor, for their willingness to be present, for the opportunity to meet in person, and for the time shared in a simple, fraternal, and productive way—a clear sign of their support and attentive concern for the work of formation.
