On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the Economs and members of the Custodial Finance Commission of the Provincial Custody of St. Anthony of Padua in Ghana met with the Vicar Custos, Friar Eugene ANTWI BOASIAKO. The meeting took place in Accra, Ghana.

The session began with a reflection by the Custodial Econom, Friar Martino CORAZZIN on “The Important Role of the Econom in the Friary.” Next, the Custodial Finance Commission gave a presentation on the Custody’s policy concerning the management of temporal goods and the Commission’s role in its implementation.
The Vicar Custos then reminded the Economs about their traditional Franciscan duty as “mothers” of the friaries. He encouraged them to collaborate with the Guardians in animating the communities. During the meeting, the Economs shared the joys and pains associated with their office. They were grateful for the new insights they received from the meeting.
