Unity Productions Foundation (UPF), the recipient of an Emmy nomination for The Sultan and the Saint, a film about Francis of Assisi and Sultan Al-Kamil, now releases its newest film: Islam’s Greatest Stories of Love.

The world premiere of Islam’s Greatest Stories of Love took place on June 28, 2025, in Washington, D.C., USA. Those in attendance included Friar Michael CALABRIA, OFM, of St. Bonaventure University (New York, USA) and a collaborator on the film, and Friar Michael LASKY, OFM Conv., who worked with UPF on The Sultan and The Saint.
Islam’s Greatest Stories of Love explores the profound and diverse expressions of love within Islamic culture and history. The film presents narratives of devotion, sacrifice, and familial bonds, illustrating how love can heal, inspire, and transform. The unifying thread throughout the film is the journey of “Ariella,” a young scholar seeking solace after loss, who discovers these stories and, in doing so, finds her own path to healing and love.
The mission of UPF is to counter bigotry and promote peace through media. UPF produces films that tell compelling stories for television, online platforms, and theatrical release. These films are part of a long-term educational campaign aimed at fostering religious and cultural pluralism, particularly among Muslims and other faith communities.
