On Saturday, October 5, 2024, Friar Peter PIKULÍK of the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Slovakia made his solemn profession.
The ceremony took place at the Parish Church of St. Francis in Bratislava, Slovakia, the site of the headquarters of the Custody and a formation house for friars in temporary vows. Those attending the event included many friars from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Italy, men and women religious, and the family members and friends of the newly professed friar. The Provincial Custos, Friar Martin M. KOLLÁR, presided over Mass and gave the homily. Those concelebrating included the Assistant General for the Foederatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO), Friar Tomáš LESŇÁK, some priests of the Piarist Order and a Minister Provincial, of the Friars Minor, Friar Juraj MIHÁLLY.
Friar Peter entered the Order in 2019. He made his simple profession in 2020. He completed his philosophy studies in Bratislava and is currently completing his last year of theology studies at the Seraphicum College in Rome. He is preparing for ordination to the diaconate.
May the resolution to live forever in obedience, without anything of one’s own and in chastity, be a source of true joy and peace for the newly professed.
