{"id":30574,"date":"2021-01-02T21:21:58","date_gmt":"2021-01-02T20:21:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofmconv.net\/francia-ordinazione-diaconale\/"},"modified":"2021-01-04T09:59:31","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T08:59:31","slug":"francia-ordinazione-diaconale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ofmconv.net\/en\/francia-ordinazione-diaconale\/","title":{"rendered":"France: Diaconal Ordination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On December 26, 2020, the feast of St. Stephen, Deacon and Martyr, the friars of the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in France-Belgium joyfully celebrated the diaconal ordination of Friar J\u00e9r\u00e9mie-Marie Baptiste MAC\u00c9.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ordination took place at the Church of Notre Dame in the city of Cholet, the location of the Saint Fran\u00e7ois d\u2019Assise Friary where our confrere lives. Friar J\u00e9r\u00e9mie was ordained to the Diaconate by the laying on of hands and the consecratory prayer of the Most Reverend Emmanuel DELMAS, Bishop of Angers, France. In his homily, the bishop emphasized the triple vocation of a deacon\u2019s service: he is a servant of the Word, of the Eucharistic table and of fraternal charity.<br \/>\nBecause of the health regulations in France, only a restricted number of participants could attend the event. Despite this, many others joined the ceremony through prayer or the Internet.
