The medal was awarded by the Grand Chancellor Father \u00c1ngel F\u00e9rnandez ARTIME in the presence of His Eminence, Mario Cardinal GRECH, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Friar Rocco earned his PhD in Pastoral Theology with a specialization in Catechetics. His Doctoral dissertation was entitled: \u201cRecognizing the Identity of the Digital Man: The Anthropology of Contemporary Digital Language and Its Catechetical Implications.\u201d His dissertation supervisor was Professor Salvatore CURR\u00d2. Friar Rocco defended his dissertation on March 21, 2021, in Rome. He earned his Bachelor\u2019s Degree at the Theological Institute of Assisi on June 21, 2015, and his Licentiate Degree (in Catechetical Theology) at the Theological Institute of St. Thomas in Messina, Italy, on June 22, 2017.<br \/>\nFriar Rocco currently serves as the Guardian at the Sacro Cuore di Ges\u00f9 Friary in Catanzaro Lido, Italy. He is also a Provincial Definitor for the Province of St. Agatha and St. Lucy in Italy (Sicily). He serves as a youth and vocation minister in Calabria. He teaches at the Calabrian Theological Institute of Catanzaro as a lecturer in Catechetical Theory and Practice in Communications.
