{"id":42827,"date":"2022-02-26T15:55:26","date_gmt":"2022-02-26T14:55:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ofmconv.net\/ofs-e-gifra-ditalia-uniti-per-la-pace\/"},"modified":"2022-02-26T15:57:53","modified_gmt":"2022-02-26T14:57:53","slug":"ofs-e-gifra-ditalia-uniti-per-la-pace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ofmconv.net\/en\/ofs-e-gifra-ditalia-uniti-per-la-pace\/","title":{"rendered":"OFS and YouFra of Italy: United for Peace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On February 25, 2022, the Secular Franciscan Order and the Franciscan Youth of Italy published a press release inviting all of the fraternities to join together, online, for a day of fasting and to pray for peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Press Release:<\/em><br \/>\nOFS and YouFra of Italy for the Ukraine: March 2, 2022, at 9:00 p.m., Prayer for Peace<\/p>\n<p>The National Councils of the Secular Franciscan Order and Franciscan Youth of Italy express their deep sorrow at the news from the Ukraine and strongly condemn any choice that would destabilize peace.<br \/>\nThe Franciscan Family declares its full solidarity with the Ukrainian people and supports them in prayer, being especially mindful of the religious and lay Franciscan fraternities inside the territory.<br \/>\nOFS and YouFra of Italy therefore accept the request of Pope Francis and the Italian Church to carry out a day of fasting and prayer on Ash Wednesday.
