The ceremony took place at the San Maximiliano Kolbe Friary in Itag\u00fc\u00ed, Colombia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new novices are Friars Jos\u00e9 RODR\u00cdGUEZ D\u00cdAZ, Bairon COREA QUI\u00d1ONEZ, Alexander GONZALES GUARDADO (Custody of Mary, Mother of Mercy in Central America); Jes\u00fas BATALLANES (\u201cRioplatense\u201d Province of St. Anthony of Padua in Argentina-Uruguay); El\u00edas CASTRO L\u00d3PEZ, Alex PARADA PIRANEQUE and Jos\u00e9 JIM\u00c9NEZ RINC\u00d3N (Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia).<br \/>\nThe Custodial Vicar of the Custody of Colombia, Friar Rafael Jos\u00e9 GARAVITO P\u00c9REZ, presided over the celebration. He was accompanied by the Novice Master, Friar Pedro Pablo BERM\u00daDEZ. Friar Rafael urged the novices to deepen their personal encounter with Christ and build their vocation on solid rock (cf. Mt. 7:24) so that they can respond generously to their religious consecration.<br \/>\nWe entrust our brothers to the Triune God, to our Immaculate Mother and to our Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi.
