The event took place at the Most Holy Child Mary&nbsp;Institute in Rome. Pope Francis sent his greetings to those gathered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A panel discussion on the <em>\u201cCatholic Institute on Nonviolence: In Service to the Church and World\u201d<\/em> featured the Co-President of <em>Pax Christi<\/em>, Sister Teresia Wam\u00fby\u00fb WACHIRA of Nairobi, Kenya, and two members of the new advisory board: His Eminence Cardinal Charles Maung BO, SBD of Myanmar and His Eminence Cardinal Robert McELROY of San Diego, California, USA. Friar Michael LASKY is also a member of the advisory board. He attended the gathering with members of <em>Roman VI<\/em>, the JPIC commission for the Franciscan Family.<br \/>\nMarie DENNIS, the Senior Director of the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative, concluded the evening saying: \u201cThrough the synod process, the global Catholic Church is discussing nonviolence as a practice of the faithful.
