{"id":77715,"date":"2025-01-27T13:14:21","date_gmt":"2025-01-27T12:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ofmconv.net\/fortaleza-brasile-assemblea-falc-2025\/"},"modified":"2025-01-27T13:15:38","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T12:15:38","slug":"fortaleza-brasile-assemblea-falc-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ofmconv.net\/en\/fortaleza-brasile-assemblea-falc-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Fortaleza &#8211; Brazil: 2025 FALC Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On January 20-24, 2025, the Assembly of the Federaci\u00f3n Am\u00e9rica Latina Conventuales (FALC) for 2025 was celebrated at the retreat center run by the Cordimariana Sisters in Fortaleza, Brazil.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All of the Ministers Provincial, Custodes and Delegates of each Jurisdiction of the Federation (18) participated, along with the Assistant General for the FALC Federation, Friar Rog\u00e9rio PEREIRA XAVIER.<br \/>\nThe Assembly began with a spiritual day which included adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, reflection and a desert experience.<br \/>\nFriar Wilton ALVES ROCHA of the Custody of St. Bonaventure in Brazil (Maranh\u00e3o) lectured on <em>\u201cThe Church in Latin America and Brazil: A Synodal Path.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nFriar Rog\u00e9rio discussed the different aspects of preparing for the 2025 Ordinary General Chapter. He put special emphasis on the logistics of the Chapter, especially for friars who will be taking part for the first time.<br \/>\nEach Jurisdiction reported on its status regarding initial and continuing formation, fraternal relations, ordinary and educational pastoral ministry, problems, difficulties, and challenges, and dreams and plans for the future.<br \/>\nNext, there was a dynamic period spent working in groups to analyze the reports made by each of the Jurisdictions.<br \/>\nA plenary session followed in which the results of the analysis were shared; the importance of initial and continuing formation was highlighted.<br \/>\nIn addition to liturgical prayer and daily Mass, the Assembly offered periods of discussion and recreation, all conducted in a convivial atmosphere.<br \/>\nThe Assembly concluded with some instructions and recommendations from the Assistant General for the FALC Federation. He also relayed greetings from the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI, who could not attend this time, but expressed his closeness through his message. At the end of the Assembly, the President of the FALC Federation, Friar Sidifredo de la Cruz CHAPARRO GUALDR\u00d3N, provided some instructions and presented some proposals for the next Assembly, whose theme is yet to be developed.
