{"id":80483,"date":"2025-04-30T12:55:48","date_gmt":"2025-04-30T10:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ofmconv.net\/polonia-niepokalanow-apostolato-della-preghiera-per-i-sacerdoti\/"},"modified":"2025-04-30T12:58:48","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T10:58:48","slug":"polonia-niepokalanow-apostolato-della-preghiera-per-i-sacerdoti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ofmconv.net\/en\/polonia-niepokalanow-apostolato-della-preghiera-per-i-sacerdoti\/","title":{"rendered":"Poland-Niepokalan\u00f3w: Prayer Apostolate for Priests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Saturday, April 26, 2025, more than two thousand people gathered in Niepokalan\u00f3w to participate in the eighth annual meeting of the \u201cMargaretka\u201d apostolate, an organization composed of faithful who pray for priests.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event was made more special by the 107th anniversary of the priestly ordination, and first Mass, of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe, the founder of the Niepokalan\u00f3w Friary. The gathering began at 9:30 a.m. in the square behind the basilica at Niepokalan\u00f3w, where those present had the opportunity to hear Father Cezary SIEMI\u0143SKI\u2019s reflection, <em>\u201cPrayer Answered &#8211; A Priest\u2019s Testimony of Healing from Illness.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nThe focal point of the meeting was Mass at 11:00 a.m., presided over by Friar Piotr SZCZEPA\u0143SKI, the Guardian of the Niepokalan\u00f3w Friary. Father Bogus\u0142aw NAGEL, the National Director of the \u201cMargaretka\u201d apostolate, delivered the homily. Father Bogus\u0142aw reminded those present that there are holy priests whose love for God and love for their homeland are merged together as one. An important task of priests is to form human consciences so that God may always be put first. The apostolate of lay faithful praying for priests not only supports priests, it is an expression of care and concern for the whole Church.<br \/>\nAfter Communion at the same Mass, the faithful recited the act of entrusting the \u201cMargaretka\u201d apostolate to the Blessed Virgin Mary. At that time, the community members and all present entrusted \u201ctheir\u201d priests to Mary\u2019s protection. The gathering concluded in the afternoon with every one reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet in common. Afterwards, a priestly blessing was bestowed upon this fruitful gathering of faithful from all over Poland.<br \/>\nThe \u201cMargaretka\u201d apostolate first began in Canada in 1981. The name of the apostolate refers to the symbol of the daisy, a flower with seven petals, each representing a person praying for a particular priest.
