On Wednesday, November 4, 2025, the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI visited the St. Bonaventure Friary in Pematangsiantar, Indonesia, which serves as the Provincial formation center for future priests of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.<\/p>\n
Thirty-six friars live in this house of formation, where they pursue philosophy and theology studies from levels one through six. They are guided by five formators: the Rector and Guardian, Friar Longinus M. JUDUNG; the Vice-Rector, Friar Augustinus Kornelius KEFI; the Spiritual Director, Friar David Daulat Satun BARUS, the Director of Studies, Friar Nikolaus Rufinus M. NAHAMPUN; and Friar Maximilianus Satya Graha M. GINTING.
\nDuring his visit, Friar Carlos held a brief meeting with all the members of the friary community. He greeted each friar and offered him an opportunity to ask any questions he might have. The friars asked many questions, particularly about the Order\u2019s mission, what motivated Friar Carlos to pursue a vocation, and what he thought about the use of social media in the Order\u2019s formation houses.
\nAt the end of the meeting, many friars took personal photos with Friar Carlos, as a memento of his visit. Next, the friars took part in some community recreation. During the recreation period, several friars continued to engage with Friar Carlos, who patiently answered all their questions.
\nOn November 5, 2025, Friar Carlos presided over Mass in the chapel of the St. Bonaventure Friary. In his homily, he spoke about God\u2019s love for humanity, emphasizing that \u201cevery friar must love God.\u201d At the end of the Mass, the Minister General posed for a photo with all of the formation students and their formators.
\nAfter lunch concluded with a closing prayer, the friars sang a Marian hymn together as a gesture of spiritual support for Friar Carlos. They invoked the protection of the Virgin Mary to help him safely reach his next destination. At the end of the hymn, the Minister General imparted his blessing upon all the friars, thus concluding his visit in an atmosphere of joyful fraternity.<\/p>\n
