Representatives from the local M.I. groups of Madrid, Barcelona, Murcia, Yepes, Ir\u00fan, and Rivas Vaciamadrid attended the meeting. The International Assistant to the M.I. Friar Gilson Miguel NUNES, and the M.I. International President, Miquel BORDAS PR\u00d3SZY\u0143SKI, accompanied them.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first day began on Saturday morning with a pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Cerro de los \u00c1ngeles. There, a Mass was celebrated, presided over by the Most Reverend by C\u00e9sar A. FRANCO MART\u00cdNEZ, Bishop Emeritus of Segovia, Spain.<br \/>\nThe Elective Assembly officially opened on Saturday after lunch. The participants, including the National Assistant, Friar Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda JIM\u00c9NEZ MART\u00cdNEZ, gathered in the parish facilities of the Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Rosario Church in Madrid, the national headquarters of the M.I. in Spain. They first listened to outgoing President Cristina MONSALVE, who thanked the M.I. members for their support during her term of service. The Assembly also received a financial report for the most recent fiscal year. The members then discussed and approved the National Directory of the M.I. in Spain.<br \/>\nSaturday\u2019s work ended with a torchlight Rosary in the square in front of the church.<br \/>\nOn Sunday, May 31, the participants recited Morning Prayer together with the Franciscan community. Afterwards, the Assembly participants elected the new National Council and the Auditors.<br \/>\nCristina MONSALVE was elected to her second term as National President (2026\u20132030). Almudena RUEDA was elected Vice President, Eduardo GALERA was elected Secretary, and Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngeles GONZ\u00c1LEZ, Luis Carlos CELY VEL\u00c1SQUEZ, and Nieves AMADO were elected Council Members. The Assembly also elected three Auditors.<br \/>\nThe M.I. Assembly in Spain concluded with Mass celebrated on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. The Minister Provincial of the Conventual Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Montserrat in Spain, Friar Juan Antonio AD\u00c1NEZ SILV\u00c1N, presided. During the Mass, five new members consecrated themselves to the Immaculata.<br \/>\nAlso during the Mass, only a few days after Pope Leo XIV\u2019s first visit to Spain, the participants entrusted the fruits of his apostolic journey to the Lord. The participants, \u201clifting up their eyes,\u201d sang the hymn composed for the Pope\u2019s visit [\u201cAlzad la mirada\u201d], expressing their hope that this encounter with the Successor of St. Peter might also become a source of grace and encouragement for the M.I. in its mission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Miquel BORDAS PR\u00d3SZY\u0143SKI, M.I.
