From September 13 to 17, 2026, the friars of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis Anthony Fasani in Vietnam gathered for the second part of their Ordinary Custodial Chapter. The Chapter was held at the Our Lady of Núi Cúi Pilgrimage Center in Đồng Nai Province, Vietnam.
The Chapter was attended by Friar Giuseppe Myoungjin PARK, Assistant General for the Federation of Asian Minor Conventuals (FAMC); Friar Dominic HOÀNG (Thành Nghĩa), the newly elected Provincial Custos; and thirty Capitular friars.
The fifth and sixth sessions focused on three main areas of work.
In the fifth session, Friar Dominic presented the Custodial Four-Year Plan, as outlined in the Instrumentum Laboris, together with the proposed methodology for the group discussions.
The Capitular friars were then divided into four discussion groups. Their discussions resulted in ten Motions, which were subsequently presented to the Chapter and approved by vote. The sixth session was devoted to the appointment and election of friars to various offices and responsibilities, including the Guardians, formators for the different stages of formation, and coordinators of the various commissions of the Custody.
The Chapter concluded with a Mass of Thanksgiving presided over by Friar Dominic HOÀNG (Thành Nghĩa). Following the Mass, the Provincial Custos entrusted the friars with their respective assignments. The newly appointed Guardians of the friaries then made their Profession of Faith.
Throughout the Chapter, all the Capitular friars participated actively and generously, working together in a spirit of genuine fraternity. At its conclusion, the friars received their letters of obedience and went forth to carry out the missions entrusted to them.
