On Saturday, May 9, 2026, there was joy and jubilation as six Conventual Franciscan friars from the Province of the Franciscan Protomartyrs in Zambia were ordained to the holy order of the priesthood. The ordinations took place during a Mass held on the grounds of St. Bonaventure Parish Church in Kapiri Mposhi, a town located in the Catholic Diocese of Kabwe, Zambia. The Province of Zambia has also maintained a presence in Malawi since 2008.
