On July 5-8, 2021, the confreres of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia enjoyed a time of grace that allowed them to deepen their understanding of the meaning of the Franciscan vocation in today’s context.
The spiritual retreat was based upon the study of the Earlier Rule, on the occasion of its 800th anniversary. This precious text by our Seraphic Father St. Francis dates back to 1221.
The retreat took place online and was led by Friars Marcos Alejandro QUESADA NAVARRO, OFM Conv.; Darío MERCADO, OFM; and Bernardo MOLINA, OFM Cap. Their Franciscan wisdom and experience illuminated the life of the friars of the Custody of Columbia.
May the good Lord continue to assist the friars of the Custody with his Holy Spirit, so that they may be authentic Friars Minor, as St Francis desired and today’s world expects.
