On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the Solemnity of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Brazil experienced a day of special grace and fraternal joy as Friar Leonardo da Silva TERTULIANO made his solemn profession, entrusting his life totally to the Lord in the Conventual Franciscan family. The profession ceremony took place at 10:00 a.m., at the Jardim da Imaculada Shrine in Cidade Ocidental, Goiás State, Brazil.
The Minister Provincial, Friar Gilberto DE JESUS RODRIGUES, presided over the Mass. The members of the Provincial Definitory were also present, as were a number of friar priests and religious brothers. Friars in formation from the formation houses of the Province also took part. Their presence made the celebration even more meaningful for the entire Province.
At the end of the liturgy, the friars of the Province gathered for a convivial lunch, enjoyed in an atmosphere of joyful fraternity. In the afternoon, the friars and the confreres from the formation houses enjoyed some time for sports and fraternity, bearing witness to the beauty of the common life that unites them around the same charism.
