On June 20, 2020, the Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the Czech Republic joyfully celebrated the priestly ordination of Friar Patrik Bogdan RYGIEL.

Friar Patrik undertook his novitiate year in Kalwaria Pacławska, Poland, as part of the FEMO Federation’s collaborative formation program. He completed his philosophy and theology studies in Bratislava, Slovakia, and finally, carried out his period of pastoral service in Bratislava and Brno in the Czech Republic.
The ordination took place in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Brno, presided over by the Most Reverend. Vojtěch CIKRLE, Bishop of Brno. During the celebration, three candidates from the diocese were ordained to the diaconate and four to the priesthood, including our confrere Friar Patrik. Despite the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus, the liturgy was attended by parents, relatives, friends and religious confreres from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as numerous faithful.
On Sunday, June 28, Friar Patrik will celebrate the first Mass at his home parish in Orlová in the Czech Republic
