On October 18-21, 2021, the 127th Ordinary General Assembly of the Federazione Inter-mediterranea Ministri Provinciali (FIMP) took place at the Seraphicum in Rome. After two years of meeting online, the Assembly could finally be conducted in person.

Fourteen Ministers Provincial and/Custodes met with the Assistant General of the Area, Friar Giovanni VOLTAN, to work on various topics, including initial formation, youth and vocation ministry, and training in the financial administration of the individual Jurisdictions. The Assembly also elected the members of the Federation’s Presidency Council: Friar Gaspare LA BARBERA of the Province of St. Agatha and St. Lucy in Italy (Sicily) was elected President. Friar Roberto BRANDINELLI of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy) was elected Vice President. Friar Mauro DE FILIPPIS DELFICO of the Province of St. Bernardine and St. Angelo in Italy (Abruzzo-Molise) and Friar Colin Charles SAMMUT of the Province of St. Paul the Apostle in Malta were elected Councilors. Friar Marco BELLACHIOMA of the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy) was elected Secretary.
