On May 9-11, 2025, the second weekend of the month, a large crowd of children, adolescents and young people visited the Friary of Our Lady Help of Christians in Schwarzenberg, Germany. The group was comprised of eighty altar servers, accompanied by friars, from different friaries in Germany. They were gathered for the 13th Annual Meeting of the Conventual Altar Servers.
The young people came from Maria Eck, Blieskastel, Walldürn, Werdohl, Oggersheim and even from Hamburg, to celebrate the composition of Canticle of the Creatures by St. Francis of Assisi and the 2025 Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church, through workshops, prayers, a lively evening together and Mass. The altar servers from the friaries of the Provinces of Poland in Germany also came, accompanied by Friars Kamil PAWLAK, Kamil K. CZUPSKI, Kamil PIOTROWSKI and Mateusz KŁOSOWSKI. They were all hosted in the same friary in Schwarzenberg, which serves as a house of spirituality for guests.
The meeting was organized by the friars of the Province of St. Elizabeth in Germany, led by Friar Konrad SCHLATTMANN. The workshops were organized by the Minister Provincial, Friar Andreas MURK, together with Friars Mateusz KOTYŁO and Andrei BEJAN.
This annual meeting still shows the world that the Church is alive. Moreover, you can experience it even today!
