On Sunday evening, July 14, 2019, a beautiful celebration took place in the “post-novitiate” chapel of the St. Bonaventure friary in Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra.
Thirty young friars from the newly formed Province of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Indonesia renewed their profession of religious vows into the hands of the former Provincial Custos, Friar Maximilianus SEMBIRING. After Mass, the celebration continued with dinner and some fraternal recreation.
On July 15, 2019, the feast of St. Bonaventure, a late morning Mass was celebrated for the simple profession of vows of twelve novices. The Mass took place at the parish church of St. Anthony of Padua in Tiga Dolok, North Sumatra. Those attending included most of the friars of the Province, the family members of the novices and the faithful of the parish. The festivities continued with lunch and some time to celebrate.
