Eight confreres from the seminary in Łódź – Łagiewniki, Poland have, by means of solemn profession, and for the glory of the Holy Trinity, offered their lives to God as members of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.
Our joy for these confreres of ours goes beyond the borders of Poland, since two of the newly professed were friars from the Province of St. Francis of Assisi in Kenya. The seminary in Łódź – Łagiewniki is not only inter-Provincial, but international as well. Its friars in formation include confreres from the three religious Provinces of Gdańsk, Warsaw and Kenya and friars from the Provincial Delegation in Belarus.
On December 8, 2020, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, four friars from the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw), namely, Friars Rafał JENDRAS, Maksymilian KONIECZNY, Paweł RATYŃSKI and Szymon BIELAK, professed their solemn vows into the hands of their Minister Provincial, Friar Grzegorz BARTOSIK.
On December 12, 2020, the Memorial of Our Lady of Guadalupe, two confreres from the Province of Kenya, Friars Peter Kyalo MUEMA and George Omondi ODHIAMBO, along with Friars Karol RZEŹNICKI and Wojciech KASPROWICZ from the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk) professed their solemn vows into the hands of the Minister Provincial of Gdańsk, Friar Wojciech KULIG.
Due to the pandemic, only immediate family members of the newly professed were able to participate in the celebrations. The confreres of their home Provinces, friends and acquaintances were able to follow the solemn professions via YouTube.
Let us remember to pray for these brothers of ours, so that they may be faithful to their vows to the end and give clear witness of the evangelical life.
