On May 10-11, 2025, the first National Elective Assembly of the Militia of the Immaculata (M.I.) in Croatia was celebrated at the Shrine Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary in Molve, Croatia. Those participating included the Minister Provincial, Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ; the M.I. National Assistant, Friar Zdravko TUBA; and the presidents and representatives of the twenty local M.I. groups in Croatia.

Friar Miljenko opened the Assembly with a spiritual reflection. Next, there were reports from the national M.I. center and local M.I. groups. During the second part of the meeting, the proposed M.I. National Statutes were discussed and later confirmed by the Assembly.
Friar Miljenko then presided over the Mass. At that time, he stressed: “We came to the Assembly to organize ourselves better, and thus become more available to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to work through us in today’s society. What is important is not to forget that the leading figure in all our work of evangelization is the Holy Spirit. We are only his instruments”.
After invoking the Holy Spirit and asking for the intercession of the Immaculata, the election of the M.I. National President and the members of the M.I. National Council was conducted. The newly elected are: Margareta BEGIĆ (Molve), President; Dean KOSIĆ (Krk), Vice-President; Elena TUBA (Molve), Secretary; and Ankica BUZONJA (Novi Vinodolski); Ljiljana JOZIĆ (Vukovar); and Siniša ŽILJAK (Zagreb), Councilors.
The new National Council, along with the Board of Auditors (Friar Vilček NOVAČKI, Lidija MARTINKOVIĆ, Dubravka BUNIČIĆ, and Martina KOKŠA), and all of the M.I. members, placed themselves under the protection of the Immaculata and committed themselves to continue their journey of dedication to her by creating and acting in love, as did St. Maximilian, who said, “Only love creates.”
