On October 12-13, 2022, the Definitors of the Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. in Romania and the Definitors of the Provincial Custody of the Orient and the Holy Land met together at the St. Anthony of Padua Friary (Custodial Curia) in Beyoğlu District, Istanbul, Turkey.

The meeting was led by Friar Damian Gheorghe PĂTRAȘCU, the Minister Provincial of Romania, and focused on some themes of common interest. The friars discussed the topics that were covered at the Ordinary Custodial Chapter, celebrated earlier this year, and talked about the decisions that were made there. They also talked about the current status of the Custody, and got to know each other better. There was an update on the friars in formation, and discussion about collaborating at the level of continuing formation, various prospects, ongoing projects, financial matters, etc.
Over both days, the Definitors took the opportunity to visit the two friaries in Istanbul (the Nativity of the B.V.M. Friary in Büyükdere and the St. Anthony Friary in Beyoğlu). They shared their experiences and personal vision on the topics discussed in an atmosphere of true joy, communion and fraternal dialogue. In addition, the friars took part in community prayer and spent fraternal time together.
