On February 22, 2021, the community of the Vatican College of Penitentiaries celebrated the patronal feast of the Chair of St. Peter.

This year, due to the pandemic, the community of the Vatican College of Penitentiaries was unable to invite the representatives of the other Colleges of Minor Penitentiaries or the members of the Apostolic Penitentiary to attend the traditional patronal feast of the Chair of St. Peter.
However, the community had the honor and joy of hosting lunch for the former Assistant General for the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF), the Most Reverend Dominique J. MATHIEU, the new Archbishop of Teheran-Ispahan, Iran. For the confreres, it was a great opportunity for discussion and listening, with great interest, to the description of the places and the conditions of the new mission to which Friar Dominique has been called by the Church.
Our prayers shall be with him daily, so that he may proclaim and give witness to the Gospel with charity and in the Franciscan spirit.
