Subject: 39th Studium Course of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints – 2027

I am writing to inform you about an important training opportunity offered by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints: the 39th Studium Course, which will take place in Rome from January 8 to June 14, 2027.
As a religious family, remembering and promoting the witness of holiness of our confreres—as well as those who have flourished within the tradition of our charism—is a precious gift for the Order and for the entire Church. To ensure that the Causes for beatification and canonization are handled with the necessary theological, historical, and legal rigor—both at the diocesan level and during the Roman phase—it is essential to have friars who are adequately trained in this field.
In this regard, I would like to point out that registration for this course is open from September 16 to December 15, 2026.
All details regarding the educational program, admission requirements, enrollment procedures, required documentation, and associated costs can be found in the official brochure of the Dicastery, which I have attached to this letter.
I strongly encourage the Ministers Provincial and Custodes to consider identifying certain friars—such as Vice-Postulators or young friars with a marked aptitude for theological and legal studies—to attend this training course.
