From October 12 to 17, 2026, the General Assembly of the Foederatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO) was held in Erlebachova Bouda in the Czech Republic. Friar Wojciech KULIG, Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk) and President of the Federation, presided.

Twelve Ministers Provincial, Custodes, and Provincial Delegates of the Federation attended the Assembly, along with Friar Marco MORONI, Custos of the General Custody of the Sacred Convent of St. Francis in Italy (Assisi).
The Assembly gave the friars an opportunity to discuss the situation of the Order and key issues concerning its life in the FEMO countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. The Assembly also addressed the implementation of the Motions concerning the region and the planning of initiatives for the continuing formation of the friars.
One of the most significant moments of the Assembly was a communal prayer for peace. Together with the lay faithful, the friars took part in a procession carrying the relics of St. Francis of Assisi to the border with Poland. With Friar Marco MORONI also present, the participants invoked the intercession of Our Lady, Queen of the Mountains, and St. Francis, entrusting the cause of peace in Europe to their protection.
