On March 23-30, 2018, Friar Franklin DURÁN ZAMBRANO met with the “San José de Cupertino” novitiate community in Areguá – Paraguay, for Holy Week and a week of formation.

Various meetings were held during this formation week and different themes were discussed, such as: “New Paradigms of Franciscan Formation,” and “The Path of Holiness: A Proposal and Challenge for New Generations of Young Men in Formation.” There was a presentation on the Order’s vision for formation, a discussion about the mission in Latin America, and finally, some time was set aside for personal reflection and group work.
The current novices are: Tomás Valerio ZEBALLO (Delegation of Paraguay), Carlos Alex PAUCAR ANGULO (Delegation of Peru) and Robin AGUIRRE RIVERA (Custody of Central America).
This event was also an opportunity to enjoy fraternity with the confreres of the formation team: Friar Jacek ORZEŁ (Novice Master); Friar Erick MARIN, from the Central American Custody; and Friar Mario CORREA from the Rioplatense Province. During this event, everyone noticed the novices’ spirit of hope and joy as they carried out their activities.
At the end of the formation week, the friars thanked God for their time together and the fraternity they shared.
