On Saturday, July 22, 2023, the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, ten novices completed their novitiate year and made their temporary profession, vowing to live in obedience, chastity and without anything of their own. The profession ceremony took place during Mass, on the altar of the lower Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, Caput et Mater Ordinis Minorum. Friar Marco MORONI, the Custos of the General Custody of the Sacred Convent of St. Francis in Italy (Assisi), presided with Friars Vincenzo ESPOSITO and Giovanni VOLTAN present as witnesses.
Each of the ten friars professed his vows into the hands of his respective Minister Provincial or Custos, namely, Friar Jean-François M. AUCLAIR, Custos of the Custody of France-Belgium; Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ, Minister Provincial of the Province of Croatia; Friar Cosimo ANTONINO, Minister Provincial of the Province of Naples, Italy; Friar Mauro M. DE FILIPPIS DELFICO, Minister Provincial of the Province of Abruzzo and Molise, Italy; Friar Roberto BRANDINELLI, Minister Provincial of the Province of Northern Italy; and Friar Francesco LENTI, Minister Provincial of the Province of Central Italy.
The newly professed are Friars Arnaud-Marie MAK-YUEN and Felix WEDEL from the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in France-Belgium, of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua; Friar Marco PERRUCCI from the Province of St. Bernardine and St. Angelo in Italy (Abruzzo-Molise); Friar Antonio KNEZOVIĆ from the Province of St. Jerome in Croatia; Friars Francesco Antonio BORRELLI and Samuele Raffaele DI MICCO Province of the Seraphic Father St. Francis in Italy (Naples); Friars Giovanni IYAKAREMYE, Leonardo MATTUZZI and Roberto MORELLI from the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy); and Friar Francesco Maria SPARAVENTI from the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy)
