On April 12, 2023, all of the friars of the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Brazil gathered together for a community celebration of Easter.
The Provincial Custos, Friar Carlos Roberto de Oliveira , presided over the Mass of Easter, which was celebrated at the Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário e São Benedito [Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Benedict ] in the city center of Paraty, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Other friar priests of the Custody concelebrated. The old church dates back to 1725 and was built by slaves.
Celebrating the Mass and spending the day together gave the friars an opportunity to be united in a communion of faith and life.
