On September 2-6, 2024, the Union of Conventual Franciscans of Brazil (UCOB) conducted a meeting for vocation animators. The event took place at the Menino Jesus de Praga Friary in São Luís, Maranhão State, Brazil, a presence of the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in Brazil.

Those present included Friar Ricardo E. ARRUDA BEZERRA (Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Brazil – Rio de Janeiro), Friars Felipe V. TORRES DE LIMA and Paulo César DA SILVA DE SOUSA (Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in Brazil – Maranhão), Friars Antônio DOS SANTOS JÚNIOR (Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Brazil- Brasilia) and Friar Flávio Martins VENÂNCIO (Province of St. Francis in Brazil – São Paulo).
The participants attended formation sessions led by Friar Roberto HONORATO OLIVEIRA DOS REMÉDIOS, Friar Christian RIQUELME ACOSTA and psychologist Janete VELOIS. The purpose of the meeting was for the participants to join forces in offering vocational support to young men who want to enter the Order. They discussed the challenges of life and work, and exchanged information on vocation animation. Finally, on the last day, the participants went on a walk through the dunes of Maranhão.
