On November 7-11, 2022, the friars of the Provincial Delegation in Bulgaria, belonging to the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw), went on a spiritual retreat.

The retreat took place at the new St. Joseph Friary in Sofia, Bulgaria and was led by Friar Piotr STANISŁAWCZYK, the Delegate General for Formation. The meditations were presented through Lectio Divina and their exceptionally meaningful content made the friars very eager to continue doing this kind of spiritual renewal.
We are grateful to Friar Piotr for preaching this retreat, for his witness of fraternity and for his keen interest in the Conventual Franciscan mission in Bulgaria. The participating friars considered this event to be more than a time for prayer, recollection and meditation; it was also a time for deepening fraternal relationships.
The five-day retreat was made even more joyful with the arrival of a new missionary, Friar Regite THURUTHEL of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in India. He will carry out academic pastoral ministry for medical students in Pleven. May the grace of God and the intercession of the Immaculata be with him in his daily service of evangelization. We would also like to thank the Minister Provincial of India, Friar Bonaventure KALLUVETTUKUZHIYIL, for responding positively to our request and sending a missionary to Bulgaria.
