From January 28 to February 1 and from April 26 to May 1, 2019, the Assistant General for the Conventual Franciscan Federation (CFF), conducted a general canonical visitation of the Provincial Custody of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Canada, of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdansk).

This Custody was founded to serve the pastoral needs of the Polish immigrant community in Canada, and has since expanded into the United States to serve Poles in South Boston, Massachusetts; Bridgeport, Connecticut; and Clifton, New Jersey.
There are currently ten friars inscribed in the Custody and six others from the Mother Province who assist this ministry.
The visitation took place in preparation for the Ordinary Custodial Chapter which will take place in September of this year.
On April 30, 2019, the Visitator, Friar Jude WINKLER, having concluded his Visitation, met with the Custos and the members of his Definitory in order to share his findings with them and make recommendations for the future.
