On November 28-30, 2022, the solemnly professed friars of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia conducted their annual continuing formation meeting. The meeting took place at the Madre Bernarda Retreat Center, belonging to the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians, in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Bolivar Department, Colombia.

Friar Michael LASKY, the General Delegate for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), led this time of fraternity and formation. He raised the awareness of the confreres and encouraged them to promote JPIC themes precisely because they are Friars Minor Conventual.
The meeting was also a time for fraternal exchange among the friars of the various fraternities of the Custody. The confreres visited some of the emblematic places in the “Walled City”, an icon of Colombian tourism on the Caribbean coast. The meeting was characterized by joy, dialogue and fraternal closeness, which allowed the participants to strengthen their bonds of familiarity.
