On March 19, 2021, six men officially entered the postulancy program of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia. The event was held at the Friary of San Antonio de Padua in Bogotá, Colombia.

After a period of guidance with the formation community, and having expressed their desire to get to know the Franciscan form of life more closely, six young men from different regions of Colombia officially began their first year as postulants. The ceremony took place during Mass on the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. St. Joseph is the patron Saint of the Church and the Order. The Mass was presided over by the Provincial Custos, Friar José Andrés CASTRO FARAH.

In his homily, Friar José Andrés exhorted the brothers to have willing and obedient hearts, like St. Joseph, in order to be open to God’s action during their formative journey.
May the Spirit of the Lord and his holy workings illuminate and guide our confreres on their formative path, under the protective gaze of the Spouse of Mary.
