On December 17-23, 2023, the friars of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea, together with the faithful, used the seven days dedicated to the “O Antiphons” to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Christmas at Greccio. The event took place at the St. Francis of Assisi Friary in Seoul, South Korea.
To celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Christmas of Greccio, the friars created a special event using the prayer suggested by Friar Michael LASKY.
On each of the seven days awaiting the birth of Jesus, the friars and faithful celebrated solemn Evening Prayer together. It was an important time to meditate on the meaning and significance of Christmas, and on the nativity scene inspired by St. Francis of Assisi at Greccio.
