On August 26-31, 2024, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea celebrated its Pre-Chapter Assembly. The event took place at the St. Francis of Assisi Friary Retreat House in Seoul, South Korea.
Nearly all the friars of the Province attended. The Assembly was called to review the life of the Province, discuss problems and difficulties the friars are having, and plan for the next four-year term.
The Assembly gave the friars a chance to listen to each other, to understand the spiritual state of the Province and build mutual consensus regarding the many problems it faces. Based on all this, a “Summary and Proposal Regarding the Life of the Province” document was drafted and approved by the whole fraternity.
We pray that the friars in Korea may grow spiritually, share fraternal love and take a step toward perfection through the next Ordinary Provincial Chapter.
