On January 29-30, 2024, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea conducted a Provincial assembly. The event took place at the retreat center of the St. Francis of Assisi Friary in Seoul, South Korea.
Fifty-six confreres gathered to reflect on the life and activities of the Jurisdiction and to discuss other topics as well.
On the first day, the Provincial Econom, Friar Giuseppe NOH, gave a presentation on the financial status of the Province. Next, the Guardians shared news about each of their communities. Friar Samuele (Seonghak) KIM, the moderator of the Commission for the Ordinary Provincial Chapter, talked about the preparation process for the next Chapter.
On the second day, using the Zoom Internet platform, Friar Maximilianus SEMBIRING, the Vice-Secretary of the General Secretariat for Formation (SGF) conducted a formation session on two topics, namely, Franciscan formation according to the revised Franciscan Discipleship document; and the House Chapter as a preferred tool for formation.
The Assembly concluded with Mass presided over by the Minister Provincial, Friar Marco JEONG.
