On June 15–17, 2026, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea held an Extraordinary Provincial Chapter. The event took place at the retreat center of the St. Francis of Assisi Friary in the Hannam-dong neighborhood of Seoul, South Korea.
Twenty-two Capitulars and two auditors participated in the Chapter, which was presided over by the Minister Provincial, Friar Benedetto Seung Jae BAEK. Also present on behalf of the Order was the Assistant General for the Federation of Asian Minor Conventuals (FAMC), Friar Giuseppe Myoungjin PARK.
Reflecting on the present and future of the Province, the friars discussed several Motions regarding certain communities and apostolates in the Jurisdiction and made important decisions in response.
We pray that these decisions may conform to God’s will and that the guidance of the Holy Spirit may lead the Province into the future.
