On October 29-30, 2022, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea hosted the National Meeting of the Militia of the Immaculata (M.I.) in South Korea. The event was held at the Franciscanum Spirituality Center of the Friary of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Daegu. This was the first time the meeting had been conducted since 2020, due to the pandemic.

Those attending included Friar Justin Minwoo LEE, the Provincial Delegate for the National Spiritual Assistance of the M.I. in South Korea. Fifty-five militia members from various local centers participated.
On the first day, the meeting began with Mass. Then, the Provincial Secretary, Friar Bonaventura Kyuhee HAN, presented and commented on the M.I. General Statutes approved in 2015 (Korean version). Afterwards, each local center reported on its current status.
On the second day, the Minister Provincial, Friar Marco Jinchol JEONG, talked about how we can live M.I. spirituality in our daily lives. Finally, the meeting concluded with Mass presided over by the Minister Provincial.
This event was a time of communion and discussion among the militia members. We hope that the M.I. in Korea will continue to grow with the help and intercession of the Immaculata. Let us pray together for this.
