On July 10, 2026, members of the Franciscan Family and young musicians came together to film a music video as part of the Canticle of Brother Sun Project.
The project was initiated by world-renowned Korean soprano Sunhae (Agnes) IM, who was inspired by reading Riascoltando il Cantico di Frate Sole: La fragilità sostenibile by Marzia CESCHIA, translated into Korean by Friar Bonaventura Kyuhee HAN of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea.
For this project, many Franciscan friars, sisters, and young musicians gathered to perform Riz ORTOLANI’s “Fratello sole, sorella luna.” This was a meaningful experience for the friars, particularly in the context of the celebrations marking the 800th anniversary of the transitus of St. Francis.
The music video was released on YouTube on October 2, 2026, shortly before the feast of our Seraphic Father, St. Francis.
