Project No. 08/2026 –
Construction of a Four-Classroom Complex
for St. Paul’s Parochial School (Nakuru, Kenya)

The Conventual Franciscan Province of St. Francis of Assisi in Kenya has proposed Social-Educational Project No. 08/2026, entitled “Construction of a Four-Classroom Complex for St. Paul’s Parochial School,” aimed at responding to the constant growth in student numbers and ensuring adequate conditions for the continuity of educational activities, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education.

The project is being implemented in the Diocese of Nakuru, in the city of Nakuru, Kenya. St. Paul’s Parochial School began operations in 2021 as a preschool and has experienced significant growth over the years, currently serving approximately 250 children. While this development is positive, it has also highlighted the urgent need to expand the school’s infrastructure.
Currently, the school has six classrooms, which is below the minimum number of classrooms required by the Ministry of Education. For this reason, a deadline has been set to build an additional four classrooms, which are needed to relieve overcrowding in the existing ones and to be better prepared for the 2027 academic year. One should note that failure to comply with these requirements could result in the closure of the school.
To address this situation, the project foresees the construction of a new block of four classrooms. This will improve educational conditions by providing adequate learning spaces for students and will ensure the continuity of the educational services offered to the local community.
