On November 18-20, 2025, a new online missionary course entitled: “Evangelization and Artificial Intelligence” will be broadcast from the studio of the General Curia of the Capuchin Franciscans.

For three consecutive mornings, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Rome time), religious, missionaries, and lay persons around the world will gather to explore how online culture can become a place of Gospel proclamation and witness.
Each day will follow a well-established structure: starting with an introduction and prayer, followed by a video featuring the Ministers General, the main lecture, and ending with a discussion among the participants. Toward the end, an audiovisual segment titled “Another Voice” will be shown, prepared each day by different Franciscan groups, before concluding with final remarks and farewells.
The first day will be dedicated to understanding the fundamentals of artificial intelligence. Professor Jesús Alberto SOLANO GÓMEZ, a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland, will give a lecture entitled: “What is Artificial Intelligence?” During this session, a message from the Minister General of the Friars Minor will be broadcast, along with a contribution from the Antonianum University, which will also present its AI diploma program.
The second day will address ethical issues related to this new technological frontier. Friar Paolo BENANTI, of the Third Order Regular, will give a lecture on “Ethical Issues in AI,” accompanied by greetings from the Ministers General of the Capuchins and the TOR. The “Another Voice” video will be presented by the Capuchins.
The third day will focus on “The Use of AI in Evangelization.” Friar Giulio CESAREO, OFM Conv., will show how artificial intelligence can be used as a tool to support the mission of evangelization. On this day, a message from the Minister General of the Friars Minor Conventual will be shown, along with the final video prepared by the Conventual Franciscans.

The course will simultaneously be translated into English, French, Spanish, and Polish, in order to encourage the participation of brothers and sisters around the world.
